Looking at the map Benalmádena is located in-between Torremolinos and Fuengirola, yet this doesn’t do justice to its setting along a wide stretch of sandy beach that gently slopes up to rocky cliffs whose elevation offers beautiful views over little coves and the blue waters of the Mediterranean. Conveniently close to Málaga city (20 minutes), its international airport (15 minutes) and Marbella (25 minutes), this lively resort town offers a bit of everything in an ideal location.
The broad sandy beaches that front Benalmádena are lined with a long promenade that stretches along to the large, lively marina that is home to yachts, attractive marina apartment complexes and a hive of restaurants, cafés and entertainment venues. Across the main coastal boulevard are hotels, parks and also the heart of the resort area, with its own collection of shops and dining spots. From here residential areas of apartments, townhouses but also villas follow the gradient upwards into hilly terrain close to an old quarter that now adds a charming Andalusian village ambience to Benalmádena’s varied offering.
With its amenities and summer seaside atmosphere, Benalmádena appeals to people who want to be close to sea, beaches and enjoy a classic resort feel. Its great beaches, marina, central location and proximity to golf and nature make this a very practical choice that offers great value for money. Amenities such as a casino with live entertainment shows, one of the largest and best public parks on the Costa del Sol and the Tivoli amusement park make it a fantastic destination for a wide range of ages.
A prime location is the seaside area, with its beachside apartment complexes set within a short stroll of all amenities. Also popular are the marina apartments in the yacht harbour of Benalmádena, while a little further inland you will find attractive apartment and townhouse complexes, as well as private villas set in leafy and sometimes even rustic surroundings. Prices are inviting and there are some great renovation projects available.
