After a 40 year absence, the Hilton is coming back

Spain’s growth potential is making waves across the globe, and the news is only getting better. Opportunity is once again knocking, but not from something new, which is what we would expect. In fact, it’s a returning investor who is taking full advantage of what Málaga province has to offer.

The world renowned luxury hotel chain, the Hilton is coming back after a 40 year absence on the Costa del Sol. A recent deal between the owners of the Reserva de Higueron hotel in Benalmádena and Hilton Worldwide was finalised, making Andalusia home to the first health spa hotel in Europe for the luxury brand hotel.

Real Estate Costa del Sol – Growth potential spurs high-end investments

The Reserva de Higueron is situated in the popular resort town of Benalmádena; a hotspot for tourists and foreign investors alike. Of course everyone’s heard of Marbella, and Puerto Banús, and it’s taken as read that property for sale in Marbella continues to outshine most of the coastal region. But the time has come for Benalmádena to shine too. No doubt this project will be incredibly successful, generating more revenue in tourism, which means more work for the locals. The local property market will benefit greatly thanks to the Hilton’s luxurious presence.

Carlos Javier Rodriguez who is one of the owners of Reserva de Higuerón is excited about the deal, and happy to see the Hilton take over management of the popular Benalmádena hotel.

“When we opened twenty years ago we would never have believed we would end up working with Hilton,” he said.

The Hilton is said to be delighted to be inviting its clients to the Costa del Sol once again, complementing the region for its gastronomy, history and the excellent year-round climate.

However bold the move might be, it sheds more light on what seems like the comeback of the century. After a 40 year absence, the bottom line is the Hilton wants back into the action. For those who don’t know, the last Hilton hotel that stood on Andalusia soil was at the Don Carlos in Marbella. It was around 40 years ago when tourism on the Costa del Sol was at its peak.

It almost defies gravity, when we look back at the past eight years. The magnitude of the recovery seemed out of reach; however, thanks in part to the collapse in the first place, a frenzy of foreign buyers taking advantage of drastically reduced Marbella real estate prices has put the coastal gem back on track. Let’s not forget to mention how the Costa del Sol saw a record breaking year in tourism! In a sense it almost seems finalised, and with Easter quickly approaching, no doubt more good news on tourism and property investments will hit the Internet air waves come May.

Hurry, opportunity only knocks once

We know full well the type of decision you’re making when it comes to buying property or that holiday home in Spain you’ve always wanted. But, believe it or not, villas for sale in Marbella at incredible bargain- prices are coming to an end. If we’ve learned anything the past two years it’s that you can’t keep a good thing down for long.

The bottom line is that the more attention the Costa del Sol gets for incredible yield opportunities when it comes to buying property, property prices will once again start to increase. In turn this will present fewer opportunities to find your dream home, and maximise your return on investments. Every estate agent in Marbella knows the time is near, and if you ever needed that push to make a final decision about property in Spain, you should make it today.

Now is the time to buy property in Costa del Sol.
