lively bars, restaurants, cafés, shopping malls (such as El Zoco), golf courses, and racquet
clubs. And for many looking to make their first move to a different county, it offers the perfect
balance of practical amenities (e.g. dentists, hairdressers, English-speaking schools) and
authentic Spanish charm.
Appeals to
Above all, properties for sale in Calahonda appeal to families and couples who wish to be close to
the beach, nightlife and sports facilities – but don’t fancy living in a high-rise town
environment. Calahonda may be self-contained and packed full of amenities. But thanks to its
low-rise properties, it still has a traditional Spanish feel, with an abundance of large open
spaces and green leafy areas.
It’s also a firm favourite with golfers. Miraflores golf course can be found in the neighbouring
town of Riviera del Sol, whilst the Cabopino course follows undulating contours just west of
Calahonda. So, if you like to spend your days teeing off in the glorious sunshine, you’ll
certainly be spoilt for choice.

Calahonda’s residential areas stretch inland over some of the region’s most beautiful gently
undulating terrain. Here you’ll find a range of apartments, townhouse and villas – in stunning
hillside and valley settings – all immaculately finished and offering a tranquil oasis away from
the main hub of activity.
However, it is the immediate seaside area of Calahonda that tends to be most popular, with its
luxurious frontline beach apartments and townhouses that look out over the Mediterranean sea.
Either way, all properties for sale in Calahonda are ideally located, close to schools and other
important facilities. And typically, they’re priced a little below the current Marbella average.
