Is there much to do in Torremolinos?

Developed in the 50s and 60s, Torremolinos is one of the earliest resort towns on the Costa del Sol and was a holiday hotspot for Spanish celebrities.

It’s a holiday paradise; known for its warm sunny weather and 7km of blue flag beaches. The main boulevard – which runs through the heart of the town – is home to many large family hotels.

However, aside from being a tourist hotspot, Torremolinos is a bustling coastal town with a typical Andalusian core. It benefits from a range of lively restaurants, cafés, tapas bars, and shops, all of which add a little local charm to its classic ‘summer holiday’ atmosphere. And the resort’s La Carihuela district is built around the old fishing village and is a very charming area to visit.
