Bromley Estates Marbella Raises £5,167.64 for Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group

Bromley Estates Marbella has been a strong supporter of the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group, with a percentage of our profits from the agency in Marbella, going towards the charity. This means that each real estate client who does business with Bromley Estates Marbella also helps contribute to a great cause. The directors of the company had originally chosen this charity because they feel it’s their responsibility to help give back. Choosing an organisation that dedicates itself to the prevention and treatment of cancer in young patients was of course the best possible choice.

As a result of our fund raising partnership with the CCLG, in 2015 we raised £5,167.64, thanks to our clients and our entire staff here at Bromley Estates. The CCLG’s continuing work with Children is of the utmost importance, as one can well imagine.

The CCLG is the leading children’s cancer charities in the UK, and Ireland. For over 40 years the CCLG has played a lifesaving role when it comes to major improvements in survival rates and even the standards of care for children. Their work, and tireless efforts cannot be measured in quantity, but can be seen in the faces of children who have beaten cancer. They are the centre hub for childhood cancer, and provide the best possible care. Most importantly, it is because of the CCLG that over 80% of children are now cured.

Everything they stand for can be summed up in several points:

• Bringing together childhood cancer professional to ensure all children, teenagers and young adults receive the best possible treatment and care

• They fund and support vital research into childhood and teenage cancers to cure as many children as possible with kinder treatments to reduce the short and long-term effects

• They help young patients and their families with their award winning information resources written by the experts and online resources

• They are active in helping children in the developing world where 80% of children have no access to life-saving treatments

We at Bromley Estates Marbella have been and will continue to be a strong supporter of charity organisations. Each year, a percentage of our profits from the agency in Marbella, go towards a chosen charity. This year, our contribution was recognised by the CCLG, and we encourage other businesses to take on social responsibility by joining and providing more contributions.

CCLG’s Background and Tireless Efforts

Founded in 1977, the organisation was first known as the Children’s Cancer Study Group. It wasn’t long after when a group of paediatricians, who were already treating cancers youngest victims, joined forces to create a group dedicated to childhood cancer. Finally in August of 2006, the United Kingdom Children’s Cancer Study Group merged with the UK childhood Leukaemia Working Party, which today has resulted in our chose charity CCLG.

The CCLG receives no permanent funding and are reliant on people and agencies like Bromley Estates Marbella for essential support.

The CCLG states:

“Corporate partnerships with companies such as Bromley Estates Marbella provide a much needed source of income and exposure for us, and help us to continue our vital work.”
