The charming white village of Tolox lies against the steep hills of the Sierra de las Nieves, at the end of a side road from the C-344 Málaga-Ronda. It offers beautiful views of the vast rolling countryside below and impressive high mountain peaks above. Tolox is quietly famous for its SPA-waters and one of the gateways to national park Sierra de las Nieves.
The Tolox SPA (Fuente Amargosa Health Spa) attracts large numbers of pilgrims and SPA-visitors that stay in the area each year. Standing at the entrance to the spectacular nature reserve, the SPA makes use of the water which flows at the rate of 15.000 litres a day from the mountains. The water is said to work wonders with respiratory ailments due to a mild gas it gives off. Not only people benefit from the waters of Tolox, also avocado farms, vegetable plots and fruit trees packed with local fruits which are grown in the green valley, hidden between the hills, behind the village.
Besides the healing waters, the national park Sierra de las Nieves, is a wild and stunning area for rural tourists to discover. The wildlife is impressive and views often breathtaking. Visitors are welcome, however the village of Tolox is not packed with shops and hungry salesman. You find a tiny but engaging municipal museum, there are of course local shops and (tapas) bars and a central town square.
Tolox is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the slow, peaceful pace of its Andalusian inhabitants. Don't be surprised if you see an old man roaming the streets on its horse or donkey, this is part of the authentic and untouched lifestyle.
The village of Tolox is located an hour's drive (60 km.) from the city of Málaga and the airport and the beaches of the Costa del Sol (Marbella) are a 50 minute (40 km.) drive away.

This Bed and Breakfast located in the hills of Andalucia oozes with charm and could be equally run as a retreat or Bed and Breakfast.
Double wooden traditional Andalucia doors welcome you to the property. As soon as you arrive you realise that you entering a very special finca. The reception lounge sits in the centre of the property with a large feature fireplace providing the winter heat. The dining room leads directly from the lounge, overlooking the pool area with fantastic views of the mountains. This is perfect spot to dine.
The reception is to the left of the lounge. Access to the commercial kitchen is from the reception area, there is also a separate entrance from the driveway to the kitchen and storage rooms. The owners accommodation also has separate access and is private from the main B&B business. The owner accommodation consists of an office, lounge-diner, bedroom and the bathroom.
The guest rooms have all been designed with thought and give you real sense and feel that you are staying a spanish cortijo. The main suite is especially lovely with private patio over looking the pool area and direct access to the pool. The Moroccan styled bathroom is the main feature of this room with a sunken Jacuzzi bath, this room defiantly feels luxurious.
There are five other guest bedrooms or differing sizes, all have private terraces and furnished in a traditional style.
The bathing area feel private and secluded and has the most fantastic open views of the Guadalhorce Valley, surrounded by Mediterranean sub tropical planting.
Guest parking is to the rear of the property.

A large fully fenced and almost flat land, with a wide variety of fruit trees, 2 houses and a good sized apartment, parking and pool. The main house and the apartment have solar panels, the other house has an electric boiler. In all homes there is air conditioning, double glazing, electric heating, fully equipped kitchen and all are fully furnished.
It is sold with all the necessary machinery for the maintenance of a finca. Water comes from a local well but there is also water from the Ayuntamiento and electricity from Ayuntamiento.
