We just wanted to let you know what a truly fantastic experience we had in finding our dream property in Spain with Emma Paterson, in less than a week.   Emma was professional, considerate, understanding and patient with us at all times, exactly what we needed.   When we first met Emma, we thought we knew exactly what we wanted and where, having carried out our own research during previous visits. However, having spent a few hours with Emma and then driving us around and explaining the several pro’s and con’s of our chosen areas and then taking us back to the office to run through our list of viewings, we had to re-consider. Emma took the time to talk with us, understand us and our desired lifestyle in Spain, which enabled her to better advise us in our property search. Such was the detail of the knowledge that Emma has of all Areas, Urbanizations, Apartments, Communities and general living in Spain, it was both very informative and priceless information.   So, with Emma’s guidance we set about tweaking the criteria slightly, but significant in terms of logistics, beneficial use and enjoyment of the property and community. Emma swiftly arranged for some further viewings and continued to do so through the week, as and when an appropriate property was found. During our week, Emma became our chauffeur, adviser, guide, confidante, lunch companion and above all a friend.   Literally, nothing at all was too much trouble for Emma, everything she did for us was with considered sentiment, care and a good splash of humour in the right places, delivered with a beaming welcoming smile.   Once we had agreed the price, Emma arranged for everything else we needed; Lawyer, Notary, property checks, etc., etc., and the high level of service did not stop once we left Spain. Emma is in constant contact and responded to our many emails, phone calls and WhatsApp messages, instantly, right through to completion a month later and still beyond.   With Emma, we felt we got that special added value. We were unable to be in Spain for the purchase completion, so Emma actually arranged for changing the locks and holding the keys, setting up the alarm and security system, minor works, delivery of household goods and even offered to take us to the airport, just exceptional after sales service.   With the buying process in Spain being quite different to the UK, we actually didn’t appreciate how much help and advice we would need, but Emma was there every step of the way providing the guidance, answers to our questions and reassurance that we needed.   If anyone is serious about buying a property in Spain, we would highly recommend that they choose Emma to ensure they get the very best attention and achieve their dream too.   A truly delightful and rewarding experience.   Bromley Estates have secured the “jewel in the crown” of Estate Agents in Spain with Emma Paterson.

Emma spent two days with us early Aug ’20 viewing properties in the Fuengirola to Marbella region. Having listened to our likes and dislikes from the first few viewings Emma quickly gained an understanding of which properties could be suitable candidates to satisfy our requirements. Having an extensive knowledge of properties on the market and not being tied to a particular agent, meant that the viewing schedule became very flexible and relevant. This was particularly important because we were also on vacation and didn’t want to waste our time looking at ill suited properties. On the second viewing day, the property viewings became much more relevant and we identified the property which ticked our boxes. Emma quickly understood the offer to propose and how to secure the deal with a deposit agreement. Toward the end of Oct ‘20 we completed on the property purchase and Emma was present at the signing in the notary office. This is where Emma came into her own. Nothing was too much trouble and the after care service delivered was unrivalled in my 40 years of business experience. From driving us to the property after completion, to loaning us crockery and bedding and buying some food and drink basics, so we could stay the night in the property that very same night, we really couldn’t have been better looked after. It can be very daunting investing in a property abroad, needing the right property advisor is crucial, but not only did Emma excel in this matter by listening to our requirements and having an extensive knowledge and experience of the local property market, making the experience tailored and relevant, the genuine care and personal attention after the purchase, was a special experience and one I can say I haven’t experienced in many years of business and property dealings. I would without hesitation recommend Emma in not only finding your dream home in Spain but also in making the settling in experience so much more pleasurable.

I just want to thank you both for having Emma look after me throughout the whole process of purchasing my new property at Lars Bay. Your company did a great job in getting me a buyer for my previous apartment which I had bought from you at Benalmadena Hill Views and then when I wanted to purchase me new apartment, you selected Emma as my new contact person to help me in my search. That decision worked out great for me, because you could not have selected a better person to look after me. I can honestly say that if it was not for Emma, I probably would not have purchased my new Lar Bay apartment from your company.  From the very start of my search, when I began looking for the apartment, Emma was fantastic. She picked me up at the airport, got me to my hotel and genuinely  listened to all the different criteria I wanted in my new place. There was no hard sell or pushing me to look at apartments which clearly did not  suit me. Emma went out of her way to make sure each one of the apartments she showed me were within my budget, in the right location and the correct size with the 3 bedrooms I wanted. She also pointed out all the pros and cons of each apartment we looked at – that in itself told me a lot about Emma’s integrity and truthfulness. Because of Emma’s choices I could easily  have picked any of the apartments she showed me, and I would honestly say I would have been very happy – but in my opinion Lars Bay was really outstanding and I am extremely happy with my purchase there. After I signed the contract ,which again Emma made extremely easy and simple, she  kept in constant contact with me and does so even now – even checking in with the Developer on the progress of construction. I do not think there are many agents who would go out of their way to  do any of this. From my perspective, I have a very successful construction / steel business in California, USA., with over 50 employees, and I truly believe that much of my success is  without doubt due to the quality, loyalty, and integrity of my employees.  I do not  really know anything about your other employees but if they are all like Emma, your company will most definitely be very successful now and in the future. Firstly where do I start? I cannot recommend Emma and Bromley estates enough. From my first contact with Emma she has been attentive, informative, professional and fun! Within 48 hours she lined up the 4 viewings of villas we requested to see on the golden mile plus a further 2 wild cards just outside this area. We flew out for the weekend not sure what to expect. But we got everything we asked for and more. Emma happily met us from the airport and drove us around the viewings giving us all the information we required and also giving us great insight into parts we weren’t familiar with anything she couldn’t answer she did her very best to find out for us. Once we’d narrowed it down she liased with all the different agents and arranged second viewings for our chosen 2. Again collecting us and making sure everything went smoothly. She arranged an appointment with the lawyer (also exceptional and helpful) and came with us. She guided us through the whole process. Once we’d chosen a property she negotiated in our behalf and after just a 3 day visit she’s helped us secure our perfect home in the sun. Also as a note it was one of the wildcards Emma chose for us. My husband and I have recently purchased a property in Marbella through Emma. From the first moment we spoke to her, we knew we were in good hands and she is not only very professional but her knowledge and support throughout the whole process has been second to none. We currently live in Hong Kong and even with the distance in mind, we felt very well take care of and as if we were here main priority the whole way through. Having decided on buying a property in Spain, I Googled some estate agents and chose one with multiple properties for us to view. Made contact and arranged to meet when we visited Costa del Sol Bank Holiday weekend. We chose around 8 properties to view. In the meantime, a friend recommend Bromley Estates as they had sold a property to a friend of a friend and he had a great experience. I’m so glad we got this recommendation. Emma at Bromley Estates contacted us several times before we flew out to find out the type of properties and areas we wanted to consider. We were only considering Benalmadena Pueblo. Emma picked us up from the airport on Friday night and took us to several apartments and town houses, new builds and old. By the end of the afternoon/evening Emma had taken the time to find out exactly the type of property that would make us say Wow!   Saturday morning we were booked to see the other estate agent and very much looking forward to viewing the 8 properties. You can imagine our disappointment when we were picked up by someone we hadn’t spoken to before our trip, told us they cancelled all the properties as they didn’t believe that’s what we were looking for and proceeded to take us to a new development called Serenity that is be finished in 10 months – 2 years time. No, no, no. That’s not what we asked for. An hour later we were back at our hotel. Emma to the rescue. I called her and told her what had happened, give me ½ an hour she says, I’ll pick you up. So off we go again with Emma to view more properties. After exhausting everything that was available in the area we had set our heart on, Emma suggested we take a drive. She took us to Calahonda and La Cala and gave us so much information, showed us the beaches, the bars, the restaurants, even the local butchers. We loved it there and realised that this area suited us much better than Benalmadena Pueblo.   Final property of the day was a gorgeous 5 bed town house in Calahonda. We fell in love. Beautiful. However, it was slightly over budget. Sunday morning I emailed Emma to say we love the property but would like to see more in that area to see what else is available. With Emma, nothing is too much trouble. I’ll pick you up at 9.30. So, on a Sunday Emma was making the relevant calls to get us viewings for Monday morning. Again Emma arrived to pick us up and take us to another handful of properties, then back to the beautiful 5 bed town house. We bought.   I can’t recommend Emma and Bromley Estates enough. They certainly took good care of us and there was absolutely no pressure to buy. Both my partner and I felt that they had our best interests at heart and wanted to find us a property we wanted to buy, rather than trying to sell us any property.   Thank you Emma. One in a million. I could never thank enough Emma at Bromley Estates Marbella and the team at the office for having found me the perfect place in Spain. After having made an enquiry through rightmove.co.uk. I received a reply by email (personalised, NOT computer generated) signed by Jay advising me that a member of staff would contacted me shortly to discuss my requirements. Soon after receiving the email the same Jay called me on my English mobile to discuss my requirements more in details . I was then advised that my file would be passed on her colleague by the name of Emma who would arrange for me to view properties that fit my requirements. I explained that I had a limited budget and that a garden had to be a must since I have two cats. The location would also have to be a priority as I don’t drive and the property had to be within walking distance to local shops and the beach. I really believed that I was asking the impossible, but when I received a call by a lady called Emma. Emma sounded friendly and approachable, but came across also as being very professional and extremely knowledgeable of the Spanish housing market and different areas on the Spanish coast. She was positive that she would have found me the right place and it was her confidence and optimism than I then started to think that perhaps the right place for me was out there. I explained to Emma that I am a single woman who does not drive and who needs a base in Spain– as opposed to a holiday place – and she suggested that area of Calahonda would be best for me as it is very well serviced by a bus route that goes into Marbella, Malaga and Fuengirola. As I am not at all familiar with the area, Emma dedicated the whole day for me showing me various properties and their relative shopping/restaurant areas. I would have expected this type of treatment for someone with at least five times my budget, but nonetheless I was treated with kid gloves throughout the whole day. Not only did Emma pick me up from my rented place (1 hour drive away from Bromley Estate Office), but I was even treated to a wonderful meal in a wonderful restaurant by the beach and a coffee in the port area of Cabopino. In just a few days she organised seven properties to be viewed on the same day confident that by the end of the day she would have found me the perfect place. And surely enough she did!!! A lovely, secure and elegant residence in Calahonda. Just the place I could have dreamed of on my budget. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma and all the staff at Bromley Estates. They were all highly professional, but approachable even for a buyer on a tight budget. I was made to feel special even when I walked into their plush offices in Marbella. Everybody knew me by name and their warmth made me feel at ease. Emma was present during the exchange of contracts with the vendor together with a representative lawyer of the Law firm they recommended. The sale went smoothly and I am more than pleased at the worked carried out by the law firm. Everybody spoke perfect English at their offices and I will definitely be using them again for personal tax issues. I am so happy in my new home and I can now say with certainty that should have gone with a different estate agent I doubt very much I would have found the perfect place.
